Chinmaya Mission College has consistently displayed an exceptional record of achievements in arts and sports. The college showcased a unique blend of talent and dedication, embodying a commitment to holistic education. Through diverse events across regional and inter-collegiate platforms, students continually represent the college and brought laurels that reflect the institution’s mission to foster a balanced development across academic and extracurricular fields.

Calicut University’s School of Distance Education (SDE) organized an Arts Fest specifically for distance education students for the very first time, an innovative initiative aimed at bridging the gap between traditional and distance education students in the arena of cultural representation. This fest marked a historic step in India’s education system, setting an inclusive precedent. Chinmaya Mission College enthusiastically participated, making a lasting impression on the judges and audience with stellar performances across various art forms. The college secured 17 points at the Interzone level arts competitions, a notable achievement in its own right, considering the stiff competition from other participating colleges. Students showcased their prowess in both classical and contemporary art forms, with the college claiming Firrst place in culturally significant dance forms like Mohiniyattam and Nadodi Nritham. These art forms, deeply rooted in traditional Kerala culture, allowed the students to express their connection to heritage, while also gaining recognition for their skill and discipline.

The students excelled in literary and oratorical competitions, securing first positions in Arabic Recitation, English Elocution, and English Versification. Thrissur district went on to win the overall trophy, and our college’s contribution was instrumental in achieving this collective success. Following the Arts fest, the college continued its triumphant streak at the SDE Sports Fest that year. Competing in a variety of sports events at the D-Zone level, the college demonstrated its athletic capabilities by securing an impressive Third position overall. This result was a testament to the physical endurance and sportsmanship that our students bring to each event, making it clear that their talents extend far beyond academics.

The momentum carried over into 2016, where the Counseling Centers Association (CCA) held an inter-district CCA Fest. Chinmaya Mission College approached the CCA Fest with both determination and enthusiasm. Through outstanding performances across various events, our college clinched the Runner-up position in the individual line-up and emerged as the top contender at the district level. This success was made even more significant by individual achievements, such as the recognition of Amarjit P.A. as Kalaprathibha.. In addition to this, Ms. Greeshma Mani’s award for Academic Brilliance highlighted the college’s emphasis on academic pursuits alongside artistic ones. Greeshma’s recognition serves as an inspiration for her peers, showcasing that academic excellence and cultural engagement can and should coexist in an educational environment. That same year, Chinmaya Mission College also achieved the Overall Championship at the CCA Sports Fest. This championship title further reinforced the college’s status as a competitive institution that values physical fitness, teamwork, and determination.

In 2017, the college continued its streak of success at the CCA Sports Meet. Our students were well-prepared, and their training paid off, as Chinmaya Mission College emerged as the champion in the individual college line-up. Additionally, our college secured the Overall Championship title in both the men’s and women’s categories, showcasing its all-around athletic capabilities. These victories underscored the fact that our students are equally skilled in solo and team sports, able to demonstrate personal excellence as well as a collective spirit. That same year, the college participated in the Arts Fest, which proved to be another memorable occasion. Chinmaya Mission College achieved the Second Runner-up position, a significant accomplishment given the high level of talent displayed by other participating institutions. While Thrissur district retained the Overall trophy, our college’s performance was noteworthy, particularly in the Thrissur district category, where we secured the Second position. In addition to these cultural and athletic accomplishments, our students continued to receive academic accolades. Shyma K.S., a BBA student, was awarded the Academic Brilliance Award. Shyma’s achievement reflected her dedication to her studies, her intellectual curiosity, and her ability to excel in a rigorous academic program.

In 2018, the Private College Association organized Sargapoornima 2K18, a cultural event that brought together students from various colleges to showcase their talents and engage in friendly competition. Chinmaya Mission College once again rose to the occasion, securing the Second Runner-up position in the individual line-up. Furthermore, our students demonstrated a strong commitment to community service, with Arjun being recognized as the Best Volunteer. Another significant achievement came in the form of the Sargaprathibha Award, which was awarded to Anjali I in recognition of her exceptional artistic abilities. Anjali’s talent and dedication made her a standout participant at Sargapoornima 2K18, and her award is a source of pride for the entire college.
